RC Aerodyne Airfield News

RC AERODYNE AIRFIELD WAS WELL REPRESENTED AT THE RECENT XPONENTIAL TRADE SHOW “ALL THINGS UNMANNED” at the Denver Convention Center April 1-3, 2018. Discussions were held with many of the exhibiting companies, including those from the United States, China, Denmark, Korea, Belarus, and others. RC Aerodyne Airfield offers an ideal location for such companies to develop, test, fly and obtain FAA approval for drones carrying weight from 0 to 5,000 lbs or more, as well as offering non-line-of-sight testing.

Discussions ranged from leases or build-to-suit for manufacturing for the U.S. market, to testing and approvals. In cooperation with our associate, Praxis Aerospace Concepts International, private projects can be taken from concept to development, testing and thru to FAA production approval, as well as US manufacturing and distribution. The Praxis crew has extensive experience working with the FAA and can offer invaluable expertise and assistance in obtaining approvals.

The RC Aerodyne Airfield offers a 5,280ft paved runway, both industrial and residential lots, with paved roads, water and power to each lot. A 34 mile non-line-of-sight corridor has been FAA approved for drone testing; Class G space with no approach interference with other airports or commercial overhead traffic.

The commercial drone business in the United States is growing rapidly, estimated at over $17 billion over the next 5 years by expert economists. Now the FAA has instituted a new expedited approval system, which will greatly reduce the time needed to obtain neccessary clearance.
